In The Beginning…
Coda Sessions was originally formed by founding members Olly Walsh & Chris Izatt during early 2018 (later joined by Sam Pritchard, Ben Newland, Morris Barritt, Harry Knight), in the form of a series of ideas; being able to willingly multi-track record and video capture our own events, in addition to bringing a taste of variety to the music scene within Cambridge, UK.
Inspired & influenced by local promoters, such as Pete Edwards (WARNING/Late Junction), Roslin Russell (Cambridge Jazz Festival), and Gil Karpas (Ahbab Festival), we decided to begin planning and arranging future events and formats that were suitable.
Our first event launched on 26th October 2018 at The Blue Moon, Cambridge, which featured Release The Chimps, Tom Colborn, and Coda House Band. We recieved great comments from many attendees regarding the delivery of the event; we aim to continue pleasing our guests, and encouraging our performers.
In early 2019, we began a working partnership with Funkretch Design which enabled us to show pride in our designs, our printed media, and any merchandise, which is usually sourced & produced locally with professional equipment & many capable years of experience.
